The Cathedral CWL recently celebrated its 80th Anniversary. It holds its meetings the second Thursday of every month (except July and August). Meetings often begin with Mass, and then a business meeting and social tea. The group comes together for fellowship and faith enrichment, and to play a beneficial role as women in our church community and in society.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is an international lay Catholic organization founded in 1833 by Frederic Ozanam, a 20 year old university student in Paris, France. He defended workers’ rights, advocated for the poor and challenged Catholics to put their faith into action. At the Cathedral, St. Vincent de Paul members give food and food vouchers to the needy from our parish area every Tuesday from 9-10:30 am. They also support many families with the annual Christmas hamper campaign. Meetings are held monthly for spiritual enrichment and business matters. Call the Cathedral office for more information.

Knights of Columbus
From the moment of their founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. Knights are men of faith and men of action. Their charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity to our own Food for Families and Coats for Kids projects and other local charities, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless. The Cathedral Pope John Paul I Council 9222 of the Knights of Columbus was instituted in November 1985. General meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month. (except July and August). Call the Cathedral office for more information.

Out of the Cold
The Out of the Cold group at the Cathedral serves the needy in our community every Tuesday evening with a hot meal of shepherd’s pie and overnight accommodation. Five teams are active and responsible from set up and cooking to cleaning up Wednesday morning. Out of the Cold runs from November to the end of March and is helped by the parish community at large with their prayers, donations and baked goods. If you are interested in helping please call the Cathedral office.
Cathedral Socialites
The Cathedral Socialites are a group of seniors who have joined together for fellowship and various programs. They have been a part of the Cathedral for 20 years and at present there is an active bowling and brunch group. Cards are played every Thursday afternoon at 1:30 in the Parish Hall but membership in this group has dropped.
